McCoy Engineering are delighted to announce our investment in a state of the art, large capacity Plasma Cutter

This cuts through electrically conductive materials such as steel and non-ferrous materials, and is a really effective way of cutting thick and thin materials alike.

Maximum material thickness:

Stainless Steel & Aluminium – 30mm.
Mild Steel – 50mm

And as you can see from the photos on this page, our plasma cutter is extremely useful in cutting straight lines, or in curved or angled shapes.

3mm Galvanised Steel Plate

Cutting perfectly, leaving no dross so straight off the cutter and into the press for all 186 of these.

We have ordered a fair bit of weight in plate for past jobs but never managed to order nearly 6 tonnes in 3mm thick before (that’s a lot of 3mm sheets)

10mm Steel Plate

Circles, rectangles and a hexagon all on one plate.

Cutting some more 10mm plate to make a drilling jig with handles as you can see in the picture, instead of bending a bit of 16mm round, we just cut a hoop shape
